4-days Windsurfing Course

Description

A practical windsurfing course designed to give you the skills and confidence to windsurf independently. By the end of the course, you should be able to launch, sail in different directions, turn and return safely to shore. Participants who successfully complete the course and meet the required windsurfing standard will be eligible to rent our windsurfing equipment.

Duration

12 hours total, delivered over 4 sessions of 3 hours each.

Age

16+. Participants must be able to swim comfortably in open water or be water-confident while wearing a buoyancy aid.

Who is it for?

Best suited to those who prefer longer sessions and want to complete the course over fewer days (recommended by our instructors). Available on both weekdays and weekends.

What’s included

•   Instructor-led Course

•   Use windsurfing equipment

•   Buoyancy aid, which must be worn at all times while on the water

•   Water dispenser available for refilling water bottles

•   Access to changing rooms and showers

•   During the cooler winter months, wetsuits are provided. You may also wish to bring a spray top or an extra warm layer.

What to wear

•   Wear anything comfortable that you don’t mind getting wet, such as a rash vest with swim shorts or    leggings.

•   Water shoes.

•   Hat and sunscreen.

•   Insulated water bottle.

•   Towel and a full change of clothes if you wish to change later.

•   If you wear glasses or sunglasses, secure them with a strap.

Arrival: Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the activity start time to allow time to get ready.

Cancellation & refund policy

•   More than 2 weeks before the course: Full refund or rescheduling.

•   1–2 weeks before: Rescheduling only. New course date must be within 2 months of the original date.

•   Less than 1 week / No-show: No refund or rescheduling, regardless of the reason.

•   Withdrawal after starting: No refund, credit or transfer for any remaining sessions.

•   Late arrival: More than 15 minutes late may mean you cannot join the session, as the safety briefing will not be repeated. Missed sessions cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

•   Weather cancellation by KSS: The session will be rescheduled to the next scheduled class. No refund is provided for weather-related cancellations. Only the instructor determines whether conditions are safe to sail.

•   Operational cancellation by KSS: The session will be rescheduled and a complimentary session credited. If 2 or more sessions are cancelled for operational reasons, participants may request a full refund if they choose not to continue.
