"Mile Builder" Sessions

Description

A chance to get out on a yacht, practise your sailing skills and simply enjoy being on the water. With no fixed agenda, each session is shaped by the skipper based on the weather, conditions and crew. You might spend the day practising docking and manoeuvring in the marina, working on sail handling, or hoisting the spinnaker. It’s a great opportunity to keep sailing in Kuwait, build confidence, log miles and meet other sailors.

Who is it for?

Open to Competent Crew and qualified skippers, as well as sailors who have completed Level 2 Dinghy Sailing and are ready to move onto a yacht.

What’s included

•      Training takes place on a 24-foot Eliote with tiller steering and an outboard engine.

•      Required safety equipment.

What to wear

•      Comfortable, sporty clothing that allows easy movement

•      Cooler weather: layers, fleece/thermals and a waterproof jacket

•      Trainers or deck shoes – no black soles.

•       Hat and sunscreen

•       Sailing gloves (optional)

•       Insulated Water bottle

•       Seasickness medication if needed

•       Small bag with personal items and snacks

Arrival: Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the activity starts to allow time to get ready.

Cancellation & refund policy

•   Cancellation within 72 hours of booking: Full refund or rescheduling available.

•   Cancellation after 72 hours / No-show: No refund or rescheduling, regardless of the reason.

•   Mile Builder balance: Unused sessions cannot be carried over to a new season.

•   Late arrival: The boat departs on time. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the boat may have already left the marina. Missed sessions cannot be refunded, rescheduled or credited.

•   Cancellation by KSS due to weather: You may choose a full refund or reschedule to the next available session. Refunds do not apply to Mile Builder multi-ticket options. The instructor makes the final decision on whether conditions are safe.

•   Cancellation by KSS for operational reasons: The session will be rescheduled and a complimentary session credited. If KSS cancels 2 or more sessions, you may request a full refund if you choose not to continue.
